The flag outside the Chrysler engine plant in Trenton has been lowered in honor of longtime employee Darvin Tennyson.
The 61-year-old was found dead inside the trunk of his Ford Fusion Sunday morning near Victoria and Lumpkin in Detroit.
Right now, police are considering this a homicide investigation, only saying evidence was taken away from the car.
His co-workers tell us they saw him Saturday, and when they didn't see him the next day, they had immediate concerns. Firefighters responded to the scene that morning, after learning his car was on fire at some point.
His relative Joyce Scott says the family is distraught.
Scott says, "He didn't deserve this. He didn't deserve this. He's not that type of guy."
Tennyson, married from Novi, worked for Chrysler for more than 25 years. He's described as a man who never got mad or raised his voice.
Scott later said, "A monster, that's what I would call the person, a monster. I hope police catch them."
