DETROIT (WXYZ) — A Detroit police officer is in temporary serious condition after being taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation.
He was injured at a fire in an apartment complex at West Chicago and Braile. No other details on how he was injured have been released.
Firefighters say the fire was contained to a first-floor apartment and no other injuries have been reported.
It's not clear at this time how the fire started.
