A 22-year-old Detroit woman has been arraigned on charges connected with last week's fatal crash that killed a construction worker.

Samiya Speed has been charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle Causing Death, Driving with License Suspended Causing Death, Moving Violation (Careless Driving) in a Work Zone Causing Death and Operating While Intoxicated Second Offense.
She turned herself in and was arraigned Monday afternoon. Her bond was set at $50,000/10%. She will be required to wear a GPS tether if she is released.
Prosecutors say Speed was under the influence of alcohol when she hit and killed 57-year-old David Snell of Bay City. The accident occurred at 1:45 a.m. on June 14.
Speed's car rolled over after the accident. She was arrested at the scene.
Speed was convicted of OWI in the spring after being arrested by Lincoln Park police in August 2017.
