This four bedroom, four bathroom mansion was once owned by the singer Jack White. He sold it in 2007.

“Indian Village has only been one of those neighborhoods that if you don’t fit in anywhere else, this is where you want to be because you’ll do just fine.”

It’s more than 5,000 square feet.

The mansion cost more than $8,000 to build back in 1914. Today, the asking price is $1.2 million, cash only. If you want a tour, you’ll have to prove you can afford the place.

“Anybody can say they want to see the house, but they have to show some money to get in the door.”

Even though it’s been 11 years since Jack White owned the mansion, there are some neat stories that live on. He would give his neighbors a free concert on a daily basis.

“Every morning at 6 o’clock during warm weather, Jack White would go out in the backyard and rehearse.”

White also recorded ‘Get Behind Me Satan’ on a staircase.

“Because he liked how it sounded.”

When Jack White lived there, he would paint the walls crazy colors. In one room, the walls were mauve, and the ceiling was red.

“All the improvements they’ve done have been perfect.”

The mansion has been on the market for a week, and the owner is hoping someone else will enjoy this piece of musical history as much as they have.

“Great house with a wonderful flow.”
