A Detroit Coney Island is being shut down in the wake of a shooting on the property.

The Motor City Coney Island is being shutdown by the Detroit Building and Safety Department because they have not had a business license since 2014. The shutdown is not related to the shooting.

Police were called to the restaurant on E. McNichols Sunday morning after a man was shot by an employee after an altercation. The shooting has sparked anger in the community.

No one has been charged. However, police say the son of the owner is under arrest.

Officials say the shooting remains under investigation.
