An encounter with a Wayne State University police officer and his partner has gone viral - because the partner is a horse!
Officer Brandon Murphy is a member of both the Wayne State University Police Department and the Detroit Police Department's Mounted Unit.
His partner is a Mustang named Remy and last Friday night they were caught on video pulling someone over - and it was all caught on cell phone video.
So, why did they jump into action?
"I noticed the driver was texting, steering with her left and and no seat belt."
Officer Murphy says he told the woman to pull over - and that she was shocked to see him.
"Number one, they are confused because its’ a horse but its usually shock," he says. "Oh aww. I can’t believe I’m getting pulled over by a cop on a horse."
Murphy ticketed the driver.
