People raising questions after DPD raid

Posted

Around midnight on Monday night, four Detroit police officers stormed in a home while chasing down a suspect in a known drug house. It was all caught on video.

Patrol officers were checking the area of Tacoma and Reno on the city's east side for drug activity, and they say they had probable cause.

One woman inside the home started recording because she knew they were cops. Others inside said they did not have to bust in the home, as the front door was open.

In the enhanced video, you can see the white front door was open inside the home.

The home is supposed to be vacant, and the people inside are squatters, living their for four years, even though the home is owned by the Detroit Land Bank.

Police confirm no tickets were issued, nobody was detained, and no name were taken.
