Residents at the the Riverfront Towers in Detroit are furious after they say their property management company has started charging for visitor parking.

Melvin Jefferson is the president of the Condominium Association Board. He says a letter was sent of in June that visitors would pay up to $10 to park on-site.

The first 30 minutes are free, lost tickets are $40.

Renters have already started the policy, but condo owners have refused to pay.

Jefferson says a mediation hearing did not go well.

"It's just really a money grab on the developer we already pay $20,000 a month for parking for them to try to get more money out of us,” Jefferson says.

We reached out to the property manager, they had no comment.

A hearing is set for October.
