Roma Cafe, a landmark Detroit restaurant located near Eastern Market, has closed it's doors after more than 125 years.
The restaurant announced the closure with a sign on the door.
However, Crain's Detroit is reporting that this is not the end of the line for the Detroit icon. They say the head chef is taking over and will reopen under a similar name this fall - after renovations are completed.
According to Crain's, Roma Cafe will reopen as Roma's Cucina by early September
