Backstage in his dressing room at the Music Hall, the "Dogg Father" graciously opened his door for us moments before hitting the stage.
Detroit is one of the many stops along Snoop Dogg's multi-city tour as he stars in the new Je'Caryous Johnson musical titled "Redemption of a Dog" that features some of the legendary rappers greatest hits to accompany the storyline about his life.
From iconic music that shaped a generation to the big screen, now the small screen, Snoop continues to reveal different layers as an artist. But he did say there is nothing quite like taking the stage to act in front of a live audience.
Saturday is the last day you can see "Redemption of a Dog" at the Detroit Music Hall. There are two shows, 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
You can get tickets on the Music Hall’s website.
