MT. CLEMENS, Mich. (WXYZ) — Police are investigating a shooting inside a home in Mt. Clemens where a 26-year-old man died from multiple gunshot wounds.
The home is located on Court Street, just two blocks northeast of downtown.
Police say a woman called 911 stating that the suspect had broken into her home and shot the victim Houston, her current boyfriend. The suspect reportedly broke in through a side door and entered the bedroom where Houston was in bed. Police say the suspect shot Houston multiple times with a shotgun, striking him in the face, shoulder and leg. The suspect then ran away from the scene.
Police say the suspect was identified as the caller's ex-boyfriend and was located on foot in Clinton Township. He was taken into custody.
