Suspect in Clinton Township double homicide identified despite disguise

It is something you see in fugitive movies.  The fugitive uses a disguise complete with a wig to evade law enforcement.  For a man accused of tragically taking the life of his own sister and her boyfriend, it did not work.

Clinton Township Police say Robert Marzejka, 24,  is suspected in the murder of his sister Danielle Marzejka, 18,  and her boyfriend Seren Bryan, 19.

Police found their bodies on Sunday, August 26 stuffed in plastic bags in a shed next to the mobile home where they lived in the Rudgate Clinton Mobile Home Park.

Police say Marzejka fled Michigan after the killings.  U.S. Marshals say a break in the case came when a business in Ohio called police about his abandoned van.

“Good old-fashioned police work. Our guys here in Detroit and from Toledo went business to business handing out fliers,” said Aaron Garcia, Supervisory Deputy US Marshal of what investigators did next.

Next thing they knew another business called saying they saw him.

“They said this guy came in here looking suspicious. He was wearing a wig, sunglasses. We went and grabbed surveillance video and sure enough, right when we saw that we were like this has to be him,” said Garcia.

Then a tip came in that he may have taken a Greyhound bus to Cincinnati.  Surveillance video showed him at a Greyhound station in that same easy to spot wig, speaking to a teller.  The teller remembered that conversation and told police the suspect wanted help finding a library.

“We found him in the Cincinnati Public Library using their wifi,” said Garcia. “The disguise was horrible. Right, when we saw him we were like that is him.”

Now he is in custody in Hamilton County, Ohio scheduled to face an extradition hearing on Friday.  One big question so many people have is why someone would kill this couple. Police say their suspect is not answering questions.
