Both directions of I-696 in the area of Oak Park and Southfield have reopened after a semi truck crashed into the median.

The jackknifed semi accident happened near the Greenfield Road exit. Police say it was caused by excessive speed and not the wet roads.

A westbound semi hit the wall, sending concrete into the eastbound lanes. Two cars heading eastbound have been damaged by debris.

Police say there were no injuries.
