TROY, Mich. (WXYZ) — Jan. 8 is Elvis Presley’s birthday. He would have been 85 years old this year.
To celebrate, a chauffeur driver will be picking up passengers dressed like the King and ready to serenade them.
During the day, Max Pellicano is a driver with All Star chauffeur services in Troy. At night, he brings Elvis back to life. Now he’s bringing both worlds together.
“We are going to be chauffeuring people all through the city and I’m going to show up like this,” Pellicano said.
To celebrate Elvis’s 85th birthday, Pellicano will be picking up passengers in full costume and character. Pellicano is a professional Elvis impersonator and has performed nationally as the King. That’s why he has the outfit ready to go.
It’s clear he loves everything about Elvis.
“His music, his style, just the kind of person he was,” Pellicano said.
For one day only, the company will provide passengers this themed service. During the ride, Pellicano might provide some fun facts about Elvis, like how he used to be truck driver before making it big or that Elvis’s favorite car was a Cadillac.
That’s why Max will be transporting clients in an XTS.
“When I’m chauffeuring people, I’m very professional," he said. "I’m dressed professionally, you don’t always drive like this.”
