UPDATE: MSP says the lockdown has been lifted. The shots are believed to have been fired by nearby hunters.
The lockdown has been lifted and students are on their way home. Troopers are still investigating the incident, but it appears that the shots are from hunters in the area. Michigan State Police say they are at Holly Academy after reports of gunshots near the school.
The school is currently on lockdown. Troopers are checking to make sure nothing happened in the school. After that check is done, the students will be released.
