It's become somewhat of a mystery in Harrison Township. Residents are upset after finding their homes, cars, driveways, and boats on Edman coated in a tar-like substance.
They don't know where it came from or what it is, so they had the fire department come out.
Firefighters told them it's a tar-like substance, but doesn't appear to be harmful. Not everyone is buying that response.
This neighborhood is located near Selfridge Air Force base, and low flying aircraft are not unusual.
Paul Schlutow tells us, "Everybody's concerned, and we want to know who's going to clean it up. You get government involved, and everyone is passing the buck."
We're told an environmental investigator from Selfridge is expected to come back out, and check out these homes.
