Students from Lake Orion High School and Oakland Community College had an out of this world experience on Tuesday morning!
They got to chat with astronauts Ricky Arnold and Drew Feustel, who are on board the International Space Station.
Feustel attended both Lake Orion H.S. and Oakland Community College.
For 20 minutes, students posed their questions to the astronauts. They asked about everything from the motivation behind their career to how they sleep in space.
The Q & A session was part of NASA's Year of Education on Station initiative to inspire educators and students.
One of Feustel's former professors, Spencer Martin, is still a professor at OCC.
"I believe what he said was.. I kinda loosened his curiosity about things... he believed that was helpful," said Professor Martin.
Feustel and Arnold will be back on Earth in August.
After the session was over, Feustel told the students, "Best of luck in all that you endeavor to do."
