A peace walk will be held on Saturday, March 26th in honor of Kalpana Murali-Babu.

She's the 37-year-old wife and mother of 2 who was stabbed to death in her Troy apartment on Monday.

Murali-Babu's husband was out of the country on business, when police say a neighbor who lived in the same Somerset Park building, broke in to her apartment and killed her.

Police say property was stolen from the apartment and it was later found.

The victim was the mother of 2 elementary school-aged children. They were at school at the time of the killing.

The suspect, Charles Stephens, has been charged with murder.

Michigan Tamil Sangam, along with Indian Regional Associations & Somerset residents organized the walk to show support and stand in unity.

Organizers say "Our deepest sympathies go out to the family for the irreversible loss."

The peace walk will be held on Saturday, March 26th at Troy Seventh Day Adventist Church. Those attending will assemble at 5:30 pm and the walk begins at 6 pm.
