Ferndale police are investigating a murder-suicide with scenes in two different cities.
Police say it happened around 4:55 p.m. when the suspect's family called police. We're told the suspect told his family he went to the victim's home, strangled her and left her in the backyard.
He then said he had taken drugs and was going to kill himself.
When police went to the house, they found the 39-year-old woman in the backyard. Then, they went to the suspect's house and found him dead from an apparent overdose. He has been identified as 36-year-old Matthew Bush.
Right now, police are trying to determine their relationship but Bush at least considered the victim as a girlfriend, or an ex.
