The Oakland County Sheriff's Department is investigating possible threats made at Clarkston High School.

Officials say a 16-year-old 10th grade student had said he had plans to "shoot up" the high school. A 16-year-old girl also reported that the suspect said he was going to kill her.

The girl said the threat came in her 4th hour class on Friday and that she had notified the teacher.

Officials say a witness also reported hearing the suspect telling a group of students that he hated everyone in the school. The witness also said the suspect stated he would have shot up the school, if he could have gotten into his father's shed.

During an interview, police say, the suspect admitted making the comments about the school. However, he said that he made them two years ago.

The suspect also reportedly admitted to threatening the female student, but said he was only joking around. He also told police that the girl was his friend and he would never hurt her.

The suspect's parents have been notified. His father reportedly told police that there is a gun in the home, but it is secure. He also told officers that there are no weapons in the shed.

The suspect has been expelled from school. The investigation is ongoing.
