Police at the University of Michigan have released a sketch of the man suspected of attacking a woman inside a bathroom on campus.

The incident happened on January 26, around 3:55 p.m. inside Weill Hall at 735 S. State St.

Campus police said the suspect followed the woman into a public bathroom. He put an ‘out of order’ sign on the door behind him and, once inside, he grabbed the woman, but she was able to get away.

Students who talked with 7 Action News are concerned about the incident.

"In the middle of the day, in a classroom building, you're not expecting that at all,” said U of M senior Katie Wedemeyer.

Wedemeyer said she has discussed the incident with her friends and roommate.

"It was especially weird, more weird than other sexual assaults on campus, because he put a sign on the door, that means he kind of thought about it before he did it,” said Wedemeyer.

Police said the man is described as white, in his early 20s, about 5’10”, clean shaven, with a medium build and brown hair.

He was also described as wearing a green plaid, snowboard style jacket.

"To know that someone premeditated that --and that kind of thing is really hard to find out who did it, just knowing someone could still be out there,” said U of M senior, Daniel Hall.
