A 34-year-old Ypsilanti Township man is now in jail after allegedly raping a woman Sunday morning.
It happened as she was on her way home from work on the corner of Center and Ecorse in the city of Ypsilanti.
The victim was approached around 7:00 a.m by a stranger at knife-point and forced to go to different places where she was raped.
She was able to get away and call police.
According to Ypsilanti Police, Joshua O’Day was arrested a short time later, just a few blocks away from the crime.
He is now charged with First Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct, Unlawful Imprisonment, Armed Robbery, and Obstruction Of Reporting a Crime.
