Jewelry, cash stolen from Northville Twp. home

A Northville Township man suspects a break-in at his house this week is tied to a string of home invasions reported Saturday afternoon in Plymouth Township.

James Burbar tells Action News two men entered his home on Angell Boulevard off 7 Mile Road around noon on Nov. 25.

Security cameras outside the house caught one man repeatedly knocking on the door and ringing the bell before he returned in a black SUV. Video then shows the man with a friend using a crowbar to pry and kick the door open.

Burbar said the burglars stole about $50,000 worth of fine jewelry, cash, and electronics.

He provided surveillance video to Northville Township police who tell Action News they are actively investigating the incident.

Police have not confirmed whether the Wednesday incident is connected to the several home invasions reported in Plymouth Township Saturday. Those break-ins occurred at the Rolling Oaks subdivision off N. Territorial Road.

Anyone with information should contact Northville Township police.
