They are accused of robbing and carjacking an 88-year-old woman in a Walmart parking lot.

On Thursday a judge looked at the evidence police have in their case and ordered them to face trial.

“I didn’t do anything to deserve this,” said Gloria Kevelighan, the victim of this crime, as she testified before her accused crooks.

Kevelighan didn’t expect violence when she parked in a handicap spot right near the entrance of the Walmart on Plymouth Road in Livonia.

She describes herself as a tough old broad - and her actions back it up.

She fought back during the robbery, hitting the man who attacked her with her cane. Still, she couldn’t hide how this incident shook her to her core.

“I can’t get it off my mind. I can’t sleep good at night. I am always afraid. I have to get back to my life. I can’t let fear control me,” she said through tears.

Forty-one-year-old Jessica St. Clair from Wayne tried to hide her face from cameras during the hearing.

She and 38-year-old Jason Malinas from Sterling Heights stand accused of going on a crime spree to get money to buy drugs. They allegedly broke into a car parked at the Livonia Moose Lodge on the same day they allegedly robbed and carjacked Gloria.

“I was bruised everywhere. I couldn’t even lay on my left side. I still have bruises,” the victim described.

During the hearing, the judge saw what happened as it all played out on surveillance video.

The couple is scheduled to have another court appearance on October 11.
