Canton police say a bicyclist who was hit by a car on Sunday morning has died.
According to police, the 78-year-old man was riding his bike on Canton Center Rd. south of Cherry Hill Rd. when he was struck by the car.
He was severely injured and rushed t St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital in Ypsilanti. He was later pronounced dead.
Police say the driver was released at the scene and provided full cooperation with officers. They are still investigating.
