It was a scary situation in Wayne, after a truck plowed into a gas pump igniting a firestorm.
It happened at the Marathon at Elizabeth and Michigan Avenue.
The truck jumped the curb slamming into the gas pump.
Wayne police continues to investigate. I’ve called the department and was told they have no press release or information at this time.
For people across the street, this was a little too close.
Melinda Neilson and her family were celebrating a birthday when they looked out the window.
“We were like there’s a car on fire at the gas station and we all looked a came outside,” she says.
A truck jumped the curb and plowed directly into a gas pump.
“We were like oh my God there’s a fire at the gas station,” she says.
Flames engulfed the pump and truck.
