A fire ripped through a building near the Wyandotte-Southgate border late Thursday night, leaving a number of families displaced.
The fire started in a building on Fort Street between Goddard and Northline.
Authorities tell 7 Action News the ground floor of the building is a vacant photography studio, but there were apartments upstairs.
Those apartments were destroyed.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
An investigation continues into how the fire started.
