A Highland Park reserve officer is out of the program and under arrest tonight.

Eboni Dixson was taken into custody without incident Wednesday afternoon at the Highland Park police department.

7 Action News recently reported a former friend of Dixson claimed the reserve officer became upset after getting locked out of the house the two were sharing. The incident led to Dixon moving out.

The friend, who didn’t want to be identified, claims as Dixson was leaving she pointed the gun at her and fired shots into the air.

After an investigation into the incident, Detroit police issued an arrest warrant.

Dixson was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon at the Highland Park Police Department without incident. She is expected to be arraigned Thursday morning.

Following her arrest, Dixson was dismissed from her volunteer position with the Highland Park reserve officer program.
