The River Rouge Fire Department says two people were injured in an explosion at a steel plant. It happened in what's called the "80-in mill" on Great Lakes St. near Zug Island.
The victims were taken to the burn unit at Detroit Receiving Hospital to be treated for their injuries.
It happened at the plant's Zug Island facility, which is located just west of the island near the Great Lakes Steel Boat Club.

Emergency crews responded to the U.S. Steel plant in River Rouge late Monday night.
At least two patients were taken to the burn unit at Detroit Receiving Hospital.
