Police are on the scene of a hit and run accident on Middlebelt and Warren on the Westland/Garden City border.
As part of the incident, police are searching for a driver who fled the scene after hitting a pedestrian.
Police say the pedestrian was crossing the street, trying to possibly get to a Walgreens.
The vehicle is described as a burgundy sedan, possibly a Chrysler 200. It was last seen going through a nearby neighborhood.
There's not official word on the victim's condition, but it is believed he is in critical condition.
