ROMULUS, Mich. (WXYZ) — Representative Rashida Tlaib was briefly taken into custody at Detroit Metro Airport.
Tlaib was taking part in a protest with picketing catering workers at the McNamara Terminal when she was briefly detained.
A spokesperson for Tlaib's office says she was immediately released.
Photos of the protest, which include some showing Tlaib blocking the road, were posted on Twitter.
