A major construction headache for drivers in Wayne and Oakland counties is expected to come to an end this weekend.
According to the Michigan Department of Transportation, southbound I-275 will likely reopen this weekend between 5 Mile and the I-96/I-696/M-5 interchange.
The freeway has been closed since May for the Revive I-275 project.
Another major headache will begin on Tuesday though as MDOT says northbound I-275 between the I-96/M-14 interchange and the I-696/I-96/M-5 interchange at 10 a.m. on July 5. That is also part of the Revive I-275 project.
