Report: Detroit's car insurance rates dropped 6.3 percent in past year

DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit's sky-high car insurance rates dropped 6.3 percent in the last year, according to the State of Auto Insurance Report released by The Zebra.

Although they have dropped, Detroit drivers still pay the most for car insurance out of any city in the U.S. – 140 percent more than the national average.
