(WXYZ) — Students at the University of Michigan are starting to move into their dorms, but some are keeping their eyes peeled for a familiar figure.
According to a report from The Detroit News, 18-year-old Sasha Obama, the youngest daughter of former President Barack Obama, is starting her freshman year at the college.
Although the students 7 Action News spoke to have not personally seen her, the campus is buzzing with the news.
Students we spoke with don't seem to mind the extra security that will be on campus if she is starting classes soon. Others hope she is able to get the true college experience as much as possible.
7 Action News reached out to the university, which stated that it had no information to share, but is excited for the upcoming academic year.
