CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) — Clinton Township police have confirmed a fatal crash early Wednesday morning on Metro Parkway and Groesbeck in Clinton Township.
The call came in around 3:17 a.m.
Police say an SUV was speeding when it hit another car. Officers believe that after the impact of the crash, one of the cars hit the traffic pole. The driver of the SUV, a 24-year-old man from Detroit, died. The other driver is currently in the hospital – police say the driver is expected to be okay.
An officer reportedly tried to pull the driver of the SUV over for speeding before the crash.

Police say the road is currently blocked off during their investigation.
