Residents in a Rochester Hills condo complex snapped pictures of two coyotes they believe mauled a deer to death in their complex overnight.

Residents at the Crestwood Village Condominiums near Hamlin and Crooks roads told WXYZ they awoke to gurgling and howling and looked out the window to see two large coyotes circling the front yards of their condos -- and they snapped these pics.

A few hours later, they found a mangled deer carcass in the front.

Alexis Bommarito said she know's it's nature's way of natural selection, but it was alarming to wake up and find such a violent mess in her front yard.

"We’re just thankful it was not a person or someone’s fur baby," she said.
