The second Shake Shack in metro Detroit will open its doors on Wednesday, Oct. 25 at 11 a.m. with a special giveaway.
It's located on Big Beaver Rd. near Crooks Rd. in Troy, down the street from The Somerset Collection. The Shake Shack in downtown Detroit opened earlier this year.
On top of the classics, the Troy Shake Shack will have special frozen custard concretes that include: S'more (chocolate custard, marshmallow sauce, graham crackers and chocolate truffle cookie dough), Concrete of Troy (vanilla custard, salted caramel sauce, Zingerman's Buenos Aires dulce de leche brownie and chocolate sprinkles) and Pie Oh My (vanilla custard and a slice of Sister Pie seasonal pie).
The first 75 people in line at 11 a.m. on opening day will receive one free Concrete of Troy.
Shake Shack's Troy location will also feature local beers from Odd Side Ales, Shorts Brewing Company and Griffin Claw Brewing Company.
They will donate 5 percent of sales from its Pie Oh My concrete to Gleaners Community Food Bank.
