Eastbound I-696 is back open at Mound Rd. in Warren after an earlier crash that left the entire highway shut down combined with construction.
The crash involved three cars and all have serious damage, with one appearing to be pushed off into a ditch.
It's not clear what caused the crash or why police shut the highway down for several hours, but we're told there are no fatalities.
Westbound I-696 is already closed due to the Moving Macomb project, and this closure will shut down the entire highway.
