The woman shot outside of a Salvation Army store has been identified as Heather Lombardo.

Lombardo, a 46-year-old mother from Livonia, is in stable condition.

A GoFundMe has been set up to help pay for her medical expenses

She was shot at the beginning of a violent crime spree after attempting to fight off the suspect, Allan Farris, when he tried to carjack her at Joy Road in Canton around 9 p.m. Tuesday.

After Lombardo was shot, the suspect, Ali Farris, carjacked a second woman, shooting her before taking off in her car. Her name has not been released. She is in good condition at a local hospital.

Farris then crashed the vehicle in Northville, where he carjacked and kidnaped a third woman, dropping her off in Highland Park.

Around 3:30 a.m., the suspect tried to carjack what was determined to be an undercover Michigan State Police trooper and exchanged fire with the suspect. The trooper was not hit.

Farris was then located around 7:20 a.m., behind a garage near Bradford and Flanders street in Detroit.

Michigan State Police and other agencies were able to set up a perimeter and eventually Farris was killed.
