After investigating the white Mercedes vehicle at the scene, police say the vehicle has been given the all clear and 8 Mile and Haggerty is back open.
Police say a Meijer customer made a bomb threat and he was taken into custody right away. The threat was something along the lines of "You all are about to be bombed." Police noticed that the vehicle was parked in front of the store in an "unusual spot" and loose wires inside containers that were found added to the concerns.
Officials also say the suspect made social media posts that were concerning, and the stores and parking lots were evacuated while police investigated.

A shopping complex near 8 Mile and Haggerty in Northville Township is being evacuated due to a bomb threat.
Involved in the evacuation is a Meijer, restaurants, gas station, two tire repair shops and more.
Right now, it's not clear why the buildings are being evacuated.
A lot of police on the scene taping off an area around a parked vehicle in front of the Meijer at 8 Mile and Haggerty in Northville. A large number of people were exiting through the garden center in what looked like some kind of evacuation. Strange.

I was inside...they came on the loudspeaker and said “attention Meijer guests please evacuate the building using the garden entrance doors”. They just kept repeating it over and over.
