The U.S. Marshals had offered a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the father and son who were wanted for the murder of a security guard.
A reward of $2,500 was being offered for information leading to the capture of 23-year-old Ramonyea Bishop and an additional $2,500 was being offered for 44-year-old Larry Teague. 7 Action News is being told one was arrested in Houston, the other was taken into custody in Bay City. Teague was taken into custody in Houston on Thursday. Bishop was arrested in Bay City Friday.
Teague was arrested with two other people, who are also facing charges issued in Genesee County. They are being held at the Harris County, Texas Jail. The extradition process has begun. Teague is expected to appear in court on Monday.
The murder reportedly stemmed from an argument after the security guard, Calvin James Munerlyn, told a customer she was required to wear a face mask. The customer allegedly contacted her husband and son, who then went to the store and allegedly murdered the security guard.
"This senseless act of violence and the loss of human life over someone doing their job is despicable," said Mark Jankowski, acting U.S. Marshal for the Eastern District of Michigan. "The United States Marshals Service, and the Michigan State Police will bring these two to justice and they will answer for their crimes.”
"He was a devoted, loving, kindhearted, courageous, brave, just comedian," said Latryna Munerlyn, widow of Calvin Munerlyn. "Like he was just love everywhere. He was the father that a lot of the kids didn't have. He was the father figure for them. And take him from me and my family, they took him a lot of other kids that he was out here being a father figure to."
