DETROIT (WXYZ) — Part of the southbound Lodge Freeway is closed at 7 Mile Road after 1/4 mile of the retaining wall cap collapsed, injuring a construction worker.
Heads Up: SB M-10 is closed at 7 Mile Rd due to about a ¼ mile stretch of retaining wall which has collapsed injuring 1 construction worker. The freeway will be closed pending MDOT personnel arrival to further assess the situation. Use caution in the area. pic.twitter.com/GYgHM6qWno

The construction worker suffered minor injuries after being hit by debris from the retaining wall and was taken to the hospital.
The freeway will be closed through the weekend for previously scheduled MDOT construction work.
MSP says traffic will be diverted at 8 Mile.
