Two killed in crash caused by wrong-way driver on US-23

Southbound US-23 in Northfield Township has reopened at Six Mile Road following a multi-vehicle crash that was caused by a wrong-way driver.

The crash occurred around 3 p.m. Sunday.

State police tell 7 Action News a 74-year-old man was driving the wrong way when he struck a Ford Fusion. 

Two passengers in the Fusion were pronounced dead. The driver is in serious condition.

A Chevy Silverado was also hit as well as a Chevy Equinox.

The man who caused the accident is in serious condition.
