WXYZ DETROIT — On Sunday, July 19, Spotlight on the News will focus on the 110th Annual NAACP Convention being held in Detroit and the future of public education in Michigan's largest school district. Our studio guests will included Derrick Johnson, President & CEO, NAACP; Leon W. Russell; Chairman of the NAACP Board of Directors and Dr. Nikolai Vitti, Superintendent of the Detroit Public Schools Community District.

Spotlight on the News, now in its 54th season, is Michigan's longest-running weekly news and public affairs television program. It airs every Sunday at 10:00 a.m. on WXYZ-TV/Channel 7 in Detroit and 2:30 p.m. on 23.1 WKAR-HD in East Lansing and 6 p.m. on 23.2 WKAR World.
