Spotlight on the News: COVID-19's impact on people of color; and help for Detroit small businesses

WXYZ DETROIT — On Sunday, April 19, Spotlight on the News will examine the impact of COVID-19 on people of color? Why are the statistics so high and what can be done about it? Our guests will include: Pontiac Mayor Dr. Deirdre Waterman, MD; Detroit area State Representative Tyrone Carter, a COVID-19 survivor and Dr. Kimberlydawn Wisdom, Sr. V.P. of Community Health & Equity & Chief Wellness & Diversity Officer of the Henry Ford Health System.

Spotlight will also interview Ivana Kalafatic, Founder of Detroitisit about how her organization is helping to connect and navigate small businesses through the COVID-19 crisis.

Spotlight on the News, now in its 55th season, is Michigan's longest-running weekly news and public affairs television program. It airs every Sunday at 10:00 a.m. on WXYZ-TV/Channel 7 in Detroit and 2:30 p.m. on 23.1 WKAR-HD in East Lansing and 6 p.m. on 23.2 WKAR World.
