BEDFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) — The suspect in the death of a Bedford Township woman was arraigned Wednesday.
On Monday, Feb. 17 around 3:14 a.m., deputies responded to a single family home on the 8800 block of Lewis Avenue regarding a medical situation involving a possible death.
At the scene, deputies discovered a body in the living room area.
The victim has been identified as 79-year-old Cecilia Gibson of Temperance, Michigan.
Prosecutors say the suspect, 45-year-old Kenny Wayne McBride, allegedly decapitated the woman, who is his step-grandmother.
McBride has been charged with open murder and mutilation of a corpse.
