(WXYZ) — A new table tennis bar and restaurant is now open in Detroit's Eastern Market. Pong Detroit is located in Bert's Warehouse on Russell St.
Initially, the venue only plans to open Tuesday-Thursday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., but said it will add days and hours as they become available.
Balls and paddles are provided, or you can bring your own, and it feature ITTF approved professional Olympic table tennis tables.
The cost is just $10 per table per hour during Pong Detroit happy hour from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. It goes up to $15 per hour per table after 7 p.m., and 21 and up after 9 p.m.
It also features a full menu with dinners, burgers and sandwiches, appetizers, pizza, and a bar.
Pong Detroit will fill a void for table tennis fans in the city after Drive Table Tennis Social Club closed its doors in January 2019.
