A Taylor man, Jay Shelby, is launching a new service in the Downriver area next week and the goal is to keep drunk drivers off the road.
Jay Shelby says a lot of people who have been drinking get in their cars to get something to eat or drink and now they don't have to. Motor City Delivery will deliver whatever they need directly to them.
"When they're drinking, getting the munchies they don't consider the consequences when going out to get things, they just run out and get them," says Shelby owner of the company.
Motor City Delivery launches early October in the Downriver area. The goal is to expand to all of metro Detroit in about a year or a year in a half.
