One of Detroit's most popular concert venues will shut down this summer for several months for renovations.

According to the Detroit News, the Fillmore Detroit will temporarily close on June 4 and continue through "on or about October 2018."

The Newsreports that a letter filed to the state of Michigan says about 180 employees will be affected by the temporary closure, including bartenders, guest service employees, stagehands and more.

The venue opened as "The State Theatre" in 1925 and was rebranded as The Fillmore in 2007.
