(WXYZ) — Detroit loves its dogs, and a new study from Rover.com found the five most popular dog breeds in the Motor City. The information was part of Rover's report on America's most popular dog breeds for 2019.
The company analyzed data from more than 500,000 pet parents to rank the 20 most popular dog breeds across the country, and then looked at the 40 top U.S. cities to find regional differences.
In Detroit, Rover said the top dog breed was a Labradoodle. That was followed by a Goldendoodle, Siberian Husky, American Pit Bull Terrier and Jack Russell Terrier.
For the United States, the top breed was a Mixed Breed, followed by a Labrador Retriever, Chihuahua, Golden Retriever and German Shepherd.
